FIFA 23 - We want Compensation! #Pay4NoPlay

The Issue

EA (Electronic Arts) have once again failed staggeringly in their Launch of another FIFA game on PC: FIFA 23... This time with a plethora of launch issues, crashes, loading-screen problems, and a damn many more... effectively rendering masses of us unable to play the game.

As a result, Early Access has been made useless, and the 'Ultimate Edition' has become a meaningless showpiece in the game library to those who paid the premium... 

Specifically, the "EA AntiCheat Service", "Stuck on Start-Up Screen", "Unrecoverable Error", not to mention various other problems, are preventing thousands of us from launching or playing the game that we have paid our hard-earned money for. With such a widespread variety of issues, there are some communities being ignored without any hope of a fix, for their own specific issues and errors... it is simply not good enough.

To make matters worse, EA have issued no public statement, apology, or used social media to bring future potential buyers' attention to the issue, and yet, in contrast, behind the scenes EA are refusing refunds to individual customers who are unable to access the game, on the basis that it is a "Known Issue"... and being "Investigated".

This is utterly deplorable, again, EA.

 

THIS PETITION:

We are petitioning that ALL FIFA 23 customers on PC receive appropriate compensation - either monetary, or in-game points or packs, to make up for all this wasted time. (Even if, EA fixed the issue right now, so many of us have still lost out on Early Access time - something advertised to us at purchase).

Additionally, we also demand, as per our statutory rights, that any FIFA 23 customer on PC who want a refund, be categorically given one... If you cannot 'deliver' the product paid for, then you are legally obligated to provide a refund!

HELP YOUR CASE, DO THIS:

Send a screenshot to EA of you experiencing your fault, ideally via one of their support channels (eg. email, live chat, support ticket, bug report), or even better, share it on their social media for all to see. Make sure whatever you are experiencing shows the error message, and any other relevant information to prove your fault. If you are frozen on the start-up screen or anywhere else - then show that!

Tell them that you expect compensation for the time lost from Early Access as a result of their broken game. Ideally in the form of FIFA points, packs, etc. and ask them to make a record of this request in their case notes... then ask them again to escalate the matter. Also, ask for email confirmation of their note on this if you can. Screenshot their live chat confirming they've done this as well.

Make your point and don't back down.
