Gov .Abbott, YOU, called Rep. Talarico a "scam artist" and a "liar", so let's have an actual debate.  

I mean you have taken $12 Million from Pennsylvanian Jeff Yass to push school vouchers, so let's have the facts. 

I mean your wife is sitting on a school board of a private school who would directly benefit from vouchers, so let's have the facts.  

I have a deeply personal connection to this issue. Private school vouchers pose significant harm to public education by siphoning much-needed funds to subsidize private schooling for the affluent. As a passionate advocate for equal education opportunities for all children, regardless of income, I am urging Governor Greg Abbott to accept the challenge to debate with James Talarico on this pressing matter.

Private school vouchers undermine public school funding, and the current voucher amount of $10k is MUCH lower than the current allotment for public school students, which hasn't changed since 2019 and is $6,160. 

Governor Abbott, this is your chance to engage in open discourse with Representative Talarico, to address pertinent concerns around private school vouchers and their impact on public education. Your constituents deserve to hear ACTUAL FACTS about how private school vouchers will take MILLIONS from public schools, will be used by over 75% of students who already attend private schools, how private schools won't have to serve special education students, won't have transparency on how funds are spent, etc, etc.
