The Political class would rush toward a cliff by allowing such disproportionate sum being handed over to Mr Sithanen. The government can bring retrospective laws to take such monies back to the State coffers.

As such, we urge the relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, The Prime Minister's office and the Office of the President of Mauritius, to take immediate action in compelling Mr. Rama Sithanen to return the funds received after his resignation.
