I traveled via Ethiopian Airways November 17, 2021 from Lagos to Maputo through Addis Ababa. From all my online findings, I noticed that Mozambique does visa on arrival for Nigerian passport holders. I was cleared to travel from Lagos and Addis Ababa where I had an over night stay. I was surprised that at Maputo, I was returned back to the plane with my bag which was collected from me at the foot of the plane.

Unfortunately, my bag never arrived. I have called and emailed Ethiopian Airways several times over the past nine months. They had refused to contact me in any way. Eventually, after persistent calls and emails and my physical presence as well as the assistance of the Nigerian Airports Authority, Ethiopian Airways offered me a poor sum of three hundred and sixty dollars which I outrightly rejected. The cost of my personal effects in the bag is over four thousand dollars. The box itself was two hundred dollars when I bought I bought it in St. Maarten February 2020.

I also noticed that every effort to get Ethiopian Airways to consider my pleas have yielded no result. In fact, they know that even if I pursue the case legally, I will be frustrated so they have been careless concerning this matter. My lawyer has written them severally, all to no avail.

I need your help to get Ethiopian Airways compensate me reasonably or return my lost bag intact. I am sure many others share my sentiment and have also suffered a similarly frustrating feat. I refuse to be frustrated after nine months.
