Derbyshire Council has confirmed the following, whether due to this campaign or something else. But its a start in the right direction
"All of the associated pipework connected to our Highway gullies is unfortunately not mapped as yet. However, we are just in the process of integrating a new asset management system at Derbyshire. This a mapping based system will enable us to map drainage systems. For example, when we carry out any investigatory works or repairs on our drainage systems, we can map these in real time, on tablet devices. To map everything across Derbyshire is a significant undertaking, and will take a number of years to fully realise, but I hope this reassures you we now have a robust and effective method of collecting and mapping this information going forwards."
So if Derbyshire can do it, why can not the rest as well!!!
