How incredibly appalling that CompassionWorks International stands behind a facility that unnecessarily and illogically tortures and kills helpless pet domestic rabbits and rats then proudly displays and promotes the inhumane, unconscionable practice to the world as entertainment and ethical rehabilitation.

We the petitioners will not be silent while animal rights org's continue to defraud the public, taking donations claiming to fight for animals when many of the org's pick and choose which animals deserve protection or the right of life.  
As animal rescues and animal welfare advocates we stand in opposition to animal rights org's supporting facilities that torture and kill domestic pets, we oppose the killing and breeding of pets and the unjust and ill-conceived, torture and killing of pets at Big Cat Rescue Tampa.

While there is great concern with abuse and mistreatment of big cats in captivity, it falls short to the abuse and mistreatment of domestic dogs, cats and rabbits and there are far less owners of big cats.  Many of us do not support cub petting or interaction with predators; we also do not support facilities or people who torture and kill helpless pets or animals.

A true proponent of animal rights would never condone or support a facility that practices the live feeding of domesticated animals to wild caught animals. In what seems to be an attempt at avoiding backlash from the public, Big Cat Rescue tries to fool well-meaning people into believing this abhorrent practice is widely accepted by experts in the field of wildlife rehabilitation.  In fact, veterinarians, biologist and rehab experts have given statements on why this practice constitutes animal abuse and is a serious animal cruelty issue.

Tiger King has been able to accomplish something none of us in the rescue/animal advocate world have had the power or money to do; expose Carol Baskin.  The truth and all credible documented facts can easily be learned.

Please do not support hypocritical, unethical facilities or animal rights organizations who turn their head to live feeding of one animal to another and hold them accountable for defrauding the public.

Please support responsible animal owners, regulations, laws for all animals and demand the Police, AC, FWC and USDA uphold the laws.
