1 Better health and social care that involves getting to know the people  involved more.

2 Regular chats especially  at the outset with  vulnerable  person and family members

3 Recognising their cultural and spiritual  beliefs and their family.

4 Better acknowledgement  of what they would've wanted when they had a voice.

5 More  genuine care within the industry. Caring people  more readily recruited but only the caring types.

6 The implementation  of more qualified , experienced and compassionate staff.

7 Psychometric testing  for staff on a rrange of dynamics.

8 Better liaison with external authorities  such as local police services on matters like coercive  control.

9 Less focus on irrelevance  , more focus on the here and now.

10 Less focus on monetary gain to be gained from the elderly, less exploitation from those in positions of so- called authority. 

Above are in my opinion the top ten things to focus on in elderly persons  care and support of their (caring) family.
