Any which way, the next budget is going to be a sharp shock to the system. It will be interesting to see how the Chancellor (with Mr. Sunak's input), will juggle with what is available for both the needy and public spending, it is going to be an almost impossible task to satisfy both adequately. If the needs of the venerable cannot be sufficiently catered for this winter and beyond, then the government must look at this petition and consider starting a 'Compassion Fund' to collect whatever funds they can to help the needy. I remain confident that people will come round to thinking about a 'Compassion Fund', because you cannot print and borrow money indefinitely, you have to have means of levelling up society with what resources you already have.
