Stop Animal Testing

Each year more than 100 million animals are tested on worldwide for medical training, cosmetics training, biology lessons and for driven experimentation. Animals such as mice, rats, frogs, dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, monkeys, fish and birds are all victims of animal testing and the damages that it causes are horrific. The suffering that animals have to go through for our own benefit is sickening. Some animals lose their eye sight from having harmful chemicals put in their eyes to test hair products whilst others are poisoned for toxicity testing. One of the most serious types of animal testing is vivisection which is when operations are performed to remove the animals limbs whilst they are still alive for the purpose of scientific research. After being experimented on, the animals are no longer fit to live and are therefore killed. The pain that these helpless animals are forced to go through is unbearable and we need to help stop it. Many well known cosmetics companies such as L'Oreal, Maybelline, Pantene, Cover girl, Avon and Dove all sell animal tested products. Although animal testing can help towards medical procedures and save many peoples lives, there are new ways of testing these products that prevent the death of millions of animals. Many scientific researchers are now looking into developing the ways in which we test products and have began to replace it with a method which involves testing humans cells and tissues, advanced computer-modeling techniques and studies with human volunteers. Animals shouldn't have to trade their beauty for ours when there are many alternatives to animal testing which are already being used by many cosmetic companies such as Lush, Body Shop, Smashbox cosmetics, Paul Mitchell and Pacifica. Ways that you can help towards the campaign include buying cruelty-free products, make a donation, educate others and speak up about classroom dissection. Please sign the petition to help.
