Dear Community,
We want to gently bring your awareness to an important moment for our community—a final opportunity to be heard regarding the proposed Sunset Crossroads development.
The Banning City Council will be meeting on Tuesday, April 14 at 5:00 PM to take what is expected to be the final vote.
What’s Happening
Right now, two key items related to Sunset Crossroads (Items 6.4 & 6.5) are placed on what’s called the consent calendar. This means they could be approved together, quickly and without individual discussion, unless a council member chooses to pull them aside.
You can review the meeting agenda here.
If these items are not pulled:
- There will likely be one opportunity to speak for both items combined
- The vote may happen early in the meeting
If they are pulled:
- There may be space for more thoughtful discussion
- There could be separate opportunities to speak on each item
This Is Your Moment
This meeting represents a meaningful and final opportunity to speak directly to decision-makers and ask them to reconsider.
We encourage you to take action in one (or more) of the following ways:
SHOW UP & SPEAK
In Person:
Council Chambers
99 E. Ramsey Street, Banning, CA 92220
Or via Zoom (see agenda for details)
Share how this development will impact your quality of life, your family, and the community. This is your opportunity to say:
“This is your last chance to do the right thing—please do not approve this project.”
EMAIL THE CITY COUNCIL
If attending isn’t possible, your written voice still matters deeply.
You can:
- Email the council members directly, or
- Send your message to the City Clerk and ask that it be shared

Why This Matters
This is not just another meeting—this is the final vote. Once approved, the decision moves forward.
This decision will shape the future of our community.
And while this is the final step in the process, your voice still holds power.
However you choose to show up—through your presence, your words, or your intention—know that it matters.
Together, we can stand for the future of our community.
