Following the City Council’s approval of the rezoning tied to the Sunset Crossroads Specific Plan, we want to share where things stand and what comes next.

Referendum Effort in Progress
 

We are actively exploring and organizing a referendum effort, which would allow the community to gather signatures and place this decision on the ballot—giving voters a direct voice.

We’re Building the Next Phase
 

Behind the scenes, we are:

• Consulting with experienced groups who have recently led successful local efforts to challenge large-scale development projects
• Working with legal guidance to ensure the referendum process is done correctly
• Organizing under the PASS Alliance to support this movement with structure and clarity
   

We are also in the process of launching:

• Official PASS Alliance social media pages
• A dedicated website
• A donation platform to support legal and campaign efforts
   

These resources will be shared very soon.

Important Clarifications

To keep everyone informed and aligned:

• Change.org petition signatures do NOT count toward referendum signatures.
• A referendum requires official, in-person (“wet”) signatures, which we will organize and collect when the process moves forward.
• Donations made through Change.org do NOT go to PASS Alliance. These contributions are used by Change.org to promote the petition online and increase visibility.

 We will share verified ways to support financially once our official channels are in place.
