Suffolk County Community College: Bad for Workers, Bad for Suffolk County

Suffolk County Community College: Bad for Workers, Bad for Suffolk County

The Issue

After months of disingenuous negotiations on behalf of Suffolk County Community College (SCCC), AME has launched an extensive public awareness campaign to exert increased pressure on SCCC to provide fair wages for our college workers who have been working diligently without a contract for over three years.

Our fight is for one thing only: to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all AME members.

The college contends that we keep moving the goalposts, but in actuality, they are trying to shrink the playing field by seeking to rob our college workers of the same wage increases received by all other AME Members.

This is more than simply a fight for a contract for our College workers. This is a fight for all of AME. By conducting these disingenuous negotiations, the College is signaling that they do not respect AME or our members.

AME and its membership will not shoulder the burden of College administrators' inability to responsibly manage their budget. Join us in the fight for equity, justice, and fair wages for SCCC employees by signing this petition and asking your friends and family to do the same.

Remember, Suffolk County only works because we do!
