* The standards students are expected to meet upon exiting kindergarten are rigorous, and unreasonable to meet in the 2 hours and 35 minutes provided in the current half day program. 

* The National Education Association (NEA) says, "Fact: All children benefit from high-quality full-day kindergarten programs." 

* The Illinois State Board of Education states that 76% of Illinois kindergarteners attend full-day programs. 

* The students of district 46 deserve equal access to publicly funded full-day kindergarten.

* You can make a difference! Signing this petition, attending the board meetings and becoming more involved is especially crucial in the coming weeks.
