The time has come for Superintendent Clifford to resign or be terminated for cause based upon his lies, misuse if not illegal use of West Carrollton Schools money, and mistatements to the community. Clifford promised over 3 years ago to not use children as a bullying tactic to force the community of hardworking taxpayers to pass a levy. Instead, he has attempted to extort from taxpayers by using precious children as pawns. Clifford, in spite of his extortion attempts, now says he will not reinstate preschool bussing even if levy passes. Superintendent Clifford does not care about our children as Clifford does not live here and does not pay a dime of taxes to WC schools. Clifford has engaged in questionable if not illegal approval of expenditures of precious taxpayer funds and all the following are now being investigated by the State Auditor's Office:

1. Clifford authorized the payment of thousands of dollars to pay the bills of a private company that WC schools had no contractual obligation to perform.

2. WC utilized school employees to perform the work that a private company was contractually obligated to perform.

3. WC does not hold contractors who perform work contractually required to the terms and conditions of the contract.

4. WC employee Jack Haag under the supervision of Superintendent Clifford acted as the agent of a private company that resulted in WC School district being sued that resulted in precious taxpayer funds and resources expended (thousands of dollars).The lawsuit was brought by Dayton Dutch Lions who sued Jess construction who brought WC schools into lawsuit whereby Jess Construction asserted that Jack Haag acted as the agent of Dayton Dutch Lions.

5. Numerous trips and alleged training to include trips to Las Vegas all under Superintendent Clifford's watch.

Superintendent Clifford has squandered millions of dollars of WC funds. Clifford has negotiated and provided uneeded perks to administrators that is not needed to hire qualified administrators to the tune of millions of dollars. Clifford has squandered and wasted your money and this cannot continue. Clifford talks about the importance of building relationships but places every child who walks to school in harm's way by forcing young children to cross dangerous train crossings and walk on roads where no sidewalks exist. The time has come for a change as the community and teachers are tired of his trying ways and intimidation tactics by threatening kids, parents, and teachers.

He has squandered a 14 million surplus in 4 years and has failed to convince a community on 5 consecutive attempts to pass a new levy. His inability to adequately access the state changes regarding our state report card has created a failure in leadership for many in the community. His ability to ignore the issue of bullying within our schools, while at the same time bullying parents by cutting busing to coerce votes is the final straw.

Due to our lack of confidence in his leadership ability, we call on Dr. Rusty Clifford to resign for the benefit of our children. His resignation will garner support for a future levy and renew hope that our district can once again be a district that truly puts kids first.
