in my opinion, it’s very unfair and cruel for animals to be put to death for doing nothing wrong. just because an animal wasn’t adopted by a certain date doesn’t mean their life should end because of that. i think animals should be given an unlimited amount of time to stay in the shelter, and if the shelter becomes too full, the animal should be transferred to another shelter. if there aren’t enough shelters, more should be built. if that animal is given even one more day to live, they could have an owner fall in love with them in just that one day.
