KRS 402.005 states that "In Kentucky, the word “marriage” “refers only to the civil status, condition, or
relation of one (1) man and one (1) woman united in law for life[.]”"

I would like to request an amendment that allows for an appeal process for Polyamorous (not polygamy or any similar relationship structures) relationships to allow them to become legally recognized. This would allow for equal legal rights to all benefits of a "Traditional" marriage structure not limited to financial benefits, childbirth related benefits, and medical benefits.

The time has come to embrace the future as more and more social progress has been made. This should be done without previous notions of social stigma and without religious precedence.
