March for Justice Ireland has had the absolute pleasure of working alongside Jackie Fox as she has strived to have a law brought in to make cyberbullying a criminal offense. Her beautiful daughter Nicole (CoCo) Fox died by suicide on the 20th of January 2018 after years of relentless cyberbullying. In May 2019 Brendan Howlin TD agreed to have the Harassment, Harmful Communications, and Related Offenses Bill 2017 named CoCo`s law in honor of Nicole.

Jackie never stopped campaigning to get this bill passed through all stages but to no avail, a general election and various other issues saw the bill lapse at the cusp of stage three, day in and out Jackie worked endlessly in honor of Nicole to highlight the need for a law to protect all our loved ones from those who prey on their victims online.

It was an act of faith that brought Jackie and March for Justice Ireland together, we could not stand back and do nothing, we wanted to help her in any way we could, we have traveled all over the country with Jackie, as she shared her heartbreaking story of Nicole. We have all shed enough tears to fill an ocean.

But we knew more was needed and so we started an online petition to hand to the Government to Bring in CoCo`s law, we set a goal of 10,000. Today we handed in 33, 460 signatures to the Government, to say we are overwhelmed by the support the petition received would be an understatement, 33,460 people from all over the world signed the petition, even now that number has not sunk in.

We wish to thank each and every person who took the time to sign, share, and promote the petition, we could not have done this today if not for all of you.

We also want to thank Jackie, Mary, and Aisling for allowing us to be part of their journey, for sharing their beautiful daughter's memories with us. We are truly sorry for the heartache and loss you all have suffered, nothing can bring Nicole, Kayleigh & Mia back but because of your strength a law we hope will save thousands of lives will be brought in, there is no greater way to honor your beautiful daughter`s memories. Thank you again ladies for allowing March for Justice Ireland to be part of this journey with you.

But this is not the end, the law still needs to be passed, we will not stop until CoCo`s law is signed in to law.
