For more than ten years, Franklin County residents have fought to protect our homes, farmland, and way of life from a for-profit corporation, Transource. The company proposes a 29-mile transmission line through eastern Franklin County, with towering 135-foot structures, that would permanently damage our rural landscape.

This project provides no benefit to Franklin County and no benefit to Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission denied it, yet Transource continues to push forward for permission to proceed.

In July 2024, Franklin County Commissioners Dean Horst, John Flannery, and Robert Ziabrowski signed an agreement with Transource, in exchange for money, pledging not to oppose the project. This agreement was made without the support of the public and is not in the best interest of Franklin County.

We are demanding immediate action.

By signing this petition, you are calling on the Franklin County Commissioners to withdraw from this agreement and refuse any future deals that harm our county. Franklin County residents care, we are watching, and we will hold our elected officials accountable.
