Have Character! Stop the Deer Cullings in Mt. Lebanon IMMEDIATELY.
The Issue
The Community of Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania (a large suburb of Pittsburgh) was recently issued a Pennsylvania Game Commission permit to cull (kill) as many as 150 deer by March 31; marking the first time this type of corral-and-shoot permit has been approved by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
Let this be the last time this type of permit is issued.
This course of action demonstrates a disturbingly systematic approach towards the killing of living creatures, reminiscent of the holocaust as one Mt. Lebanon resident pungently put. If we are unable to live in harmony with our treasured wildlife, we must adapt, finding alternatives and becoming more evolved beings in the process. We mustn't coldly kill nature, due to our refusal to cope with an inconvenience.
The cull officially started on 3/9. At least 3 kills have already been confirmed. We must act quickly, and speak boldly if this inhumane, inhuman slaughter is going to cease in time. Please sign this petition, and if you have time, politely call the community, or write your ward's respective commissioner (POLITELY). Our protest will not cease. Mt. Lebanon is a self-proclaimed "Community with Character", but this culling (killing) demonstrates very poor character.

We are amidst what some are calling the 6th mass extinction on Earth. One third of all life on Earth is now threatened or endangered. We must find an alternative! In the process we will grow, possibly even creating further opportunities for enjoyment for residents of Mt. Lebanon and Pennsylvania, A state already rich with wildlife preserves.
