The Collier County Board of Commissioners will review a proposal (PL20200002234) that will amend the Growth Management Plan for Immokalee Rd. that will vastly increase the housing density from 1.0 dwellings per five acres, to as many as 12.2 dwelling units per acre.

We are starting this petition to voice our justified concerns to the Board of Commissioners and our disagreement with this density change. The impact this will have on our current traffic congestion on Immokalee Road and surrounding areas will be grossly increased.    The negative effect this will have on the native animals due to their already loss of natural habitat will be detrimental to our wildlife.  

The beauty and uniqueness of Naples as one of the last hidden gems in this country must be preserved.   The proposed plan will cause many issues for our community and the over population of this area will bring issues resulting in overcrowded schools, traffic, and extinction of our wildlife.  We will lose everything that the residents of Naples treasure, and what makes this beautiful, traditional Florida town a place where we are proud to call home.
