Do not charge Brian Tamaki for Freedom Stand

Do not charge Brian Tamaki for Freedom Stand

The issue

Recently, a petition was made by Robert P to the New Zealand Police Commissioner, Andrew Coster, for the arrest of Brian Tamaki, who was involved in organising the New Zealand Freedoms Stand, which took place in Auckland, at the Auckland Domain, on Saturday the 2nd of October.

According to Robert P, Brian Tamaki and all in attendance breached the current regulations around assembling and gathering. However this was not unlawful. According to the New Zealand Bill of Rights Act 1990, sections 16, 17 and 18, it is anyone’s right to FREEDOM of PEACEFUL ASSEMBLY, FREEDOM of ASSOCIATION and FREEDOM of MOVEMENT.

Therefore, Brian Tamaki should not be arrested, despite the number of New Zealanders who sign Robert P’s petition, as doing so would be a breach of his freedoms and rights as a HUMAN BEING!
