The Issue
In 1989 a decision was made to hand down a lifetime ban to a Legend of the sport. Pete Rose... He had a phenomenal career both as a player and a manager. His only downfall was gambling. He gambled $10,000 nightly on his Cincinnati Reds. Now you tell me, is that tainting the game of Baseball?

Simply put they made an example of him. Today, 2020, you have multiple Managers being penalized for fraudulent baseball activity. The punishment thus far has been a slap on the wrist. More so, an absolute joke to the game. A sheer pathetic insult. Pete Rose is a class act. He deserves to be in Cooperstown.
My husband an I are average Joe's, but we want to do what is right. We believe the voice of the people who pay money to support this game should have the decision. It is obviously too big for the Commissioner, Rob Manfred to handle.
You handed down a one year suspension to the Houston Astros Manager and GM. Beyond irrefutable evidence proving they cheated. Stole a championship if you will. There players, Verlander, Altuve, Gurriel, McCann, Correa, Kiechel, etc... the list goes on... who will never face punishment, but should feel humiliation for the rest of their lives that their careers are dirt. Then there is Cora and Beltran, I pray for nothing less than what was given to Pete Rose for Cora, Beltran will lose nothing. Another great injustice.
Yet, you have the all time hits leader and a true legend of the game on the outside looking in.
Mr. Commissioner you are doing a great disservice to us, the fans, the reason the game exists. You truly have no idea how to manage this great game that we love so much if you cannot right this egregious wrong.
