I was shocked when I came to know that a garment store named “Hitler” has opened in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The store even bore the infamous “Swastika” symbol that Nazi Germany used during World War 2. As a Gujarati and from the land where our leader Mahatma Gandhi was born this came as a reality check of the world we are living in.
When I questioned the store owner Mr. Rajesh Shah pleaded ignorance about the issue and that he is using a brutal dictator’s name for this shop. He even countered me saying the number of Jews killed by Hitler was nothing huge. One can easily spot out that that he did extensive research on Hitler, his symbols and to the things he used. I requested Mr. Shah to take down the name but he refused. Further he said that one has to pay him money to get the name changed.
