John Oliver is the best choice to moderate the next presidential debate and here's why:

- John Oliver is no stranger to the political sphere. He makes a living off calling out politicians and corrupt officials for their wrong doings in a satirical and brutal manner using facts. 

- John Oliver will ask appropriately tough and unbiased questions and create an intense debate platform that will depict the best and worst of each candidate. Candidates will not easily get away with dodging questions and lackluster answers, and if they persist on doing so, John Oliver will make it known to the public.

- John Oliver will have no problem fact checking a candidate's response if it is blatantly dishonest and manipulative. He will also demand and enforce the time limits allotted for each question and not tolerate rude behavior (i.e a candidate interrupting another on more than one occasion).

- Much like his television show, the debate itself will be extremely entertaining with him as a moderator and would draw in a record number of viewers, especially millennials. 

All in all, we need to be as informed as possible on the issues facing this country. The stakes of this election, with Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton as our two main candidates, are too high and can have catastrophic effects on our daily lives if the public anchors their decision based on false statements and misrepresented issues that are allowed to manifest unopposed. John Oliver will most certainly facilitate an effective platform so this doesn't continue to happen any longer. I hope that by using this petition, we can come together as a country and embark on this path searching for truth and justice that will benefit us all.
