My name is Elma Reyes, I have 2 kids, and after the last massive storm named Typhoon Glenda (a.k.a. Typhoon Rammasun), I could not fish or collect coconuts for over a month. If I cannot fish or farm, I cannot feed my children.

I am afraid of what climate change might mean for our future and the big storms we get. But I have found new reasons to feel hopeful. The New York Attorney-General is now investigating ExxonMobil for lying about climate change.

Even better, we are hearing that the Philippines Commission for Human Rights is on the verge of opening a second investigation into ExxonMobil and other polluters. It would be amazing if the Commission opened the investigation while world leaders are in Paris for the global climate summit.

The problem is that we are worried that Big Oil could try shut it down.
