Stop the Cap

The Issue

Hello friends and family,

as we’ve all probably heard by now, Comcast intends to implement a data cap on their in home internet services of 1.2 TB/month.

This strategy of data usage mitigation is ineffective statistically at lowering the strain on an ISPs network. Some claim it’s actually intended to prey on individuals who have no other option.

Frankly my house regularly uses over 1.2TB of data a month so, I’m not gonna lie, this extra $100(maximum) charge is insane to me. After reviewing some friends and families accounts it seems like if you have one person in your house who likes to game on the computer and you check emails you can easily get over their 1.2TB limit in a month.

We pay for the service of having an internet connection to the home and I believe as well as those who’ve signed that, by default, the amount you use the service shouldn’t even be measured nevermind capped and charged.

If you agree, please sign this petition. As more people sign the bigger the voice we’ll have. Tell family and friends that also agree to sign and share the link please.

Thank you,

Ryan J Edwards
