Petition updateDo Not Terminate Skylanders: Ring of Heroes

Time for a change of tactics

Time for an update and a change of tactics.

I’ve been communicating with Com2us’ customer support. After complimenting them on their customer service being better than Pocket Gems (developer of War Dragons) and that if they were to not terminate Skylanders Ring of Heroes, I would in fact be spending more money on that game instead of War Dragons. Their reply to me was that the developers are determined to terminate the Ring of Heroes and suggested I go play their other games. It is my personal understanding that Com2us is terminating one of their highest rated games so that people playing there will go and play their other games and spend money on those games.

Frustrated and a little insulted, I was ready to give up. Then I remembered a lesson that War Dragons taught me about stubborn game developers. They only understand one thing, money. When a gaming company keeps giving their players updates they don’t want and ignore the complaints, then players need to respond by stop spending money on the micro-transactions. As long as the company continues with their bad behavior, we need to stop rewarding the company with money.

I did a bit of background checking on Com2us. Even though Com2us is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau, bbb.org has a page for Com2us due to the bureau receiving a number of complaints and reviews from unhappy customers. Over the past 3 years, they have closed 14 complaints, each of which were unresolved due to Com2us not responding to them. Some of these complaints are visible on the website and they all had one thing in common: Summoners War accounts being hacked. These customers had reached out to Com2us repeatedly through their customer support to get the matter resolved. Com2us did nothing to resolve the matter and apparently they event went so far as to blame the customer for losing the account despite that customer having taken all the appropriate measures to secure their account. I’m sure if you go to Summoners War’s App Store page and look at all the negative reviews, you will see even more stories of accounts being hacked and Com2us not resolving it. Another complaint stated that the player had 700 USD stolen from them.

So my fellow supporters, let us send Com2us a clear message and let us hope they understand it well.

Com2us, we DO NOT want you to terminate Skylanders Ring of Heroes. If you go through with this termination then we will not be spending any money on your other games. The money players have spent on the Skylanders Ring of Heroes micro-transactions and subscriptions was only ever meant to keep Skylanders Ring of Heroes active, not your other games. You’ve robbed enough people already.

This is no longer just a petition, it’s a boycott. I have provided a list of Com2us’ English titled games, complete with the App Store rating, number of ratings and the year of it’s copyright so supporters can know what games are not going to be worth their money.
