My name is Matthew Berdyck.

I’m a journalist, activist, and filmmaker, founder of ToxicWasteSites.org, national fire and weather videographer, and a source of military leaks for New York Times. 

I’m also the victim of a massive corruption scandal in Columbus, Ohio, involving police, judges, prosecutors, and local media who are actively covering the story up.

Tonight, a radio interview was released revealing that NBC4i and its staff members aren’t just covering the story up, they’re involved. A digital producer for the station, named Mark Feuerborn, has become an accomplice to this scandal.

For the last 14 years, I’ve been traveling the country running my environmental .org, investigating the EPA’s controversial Superfund project, exposing cancer clusters, investigating the redevelopment of still polluted toxic waste sites. In spite of my prolific career, I’ve received virtually no media, leaving me living in utter obscurity, in spite of all the good I’ve done. Obscurity is my lot in life, apparently. 

He who shall not be named 

As I’ve traveled the US, fighting for the greater good, I’ve been pursued by a man in Columbus, Ohio, an indie filmmaker who spends every waking moment of his life trying to destroy me and every cause I work on.

This man is far more than a guy making films. He’s viciously cyber stalking me, my family, and my children, while spreading wild conspiracy theories about me.

In the last two months, alone, he’s been claiming I have AIDS, that I’m spreading STD’s all over the US, that I’m a homeless, con man, drifter, violent, impersonating veterans, that I’m bumming money in gas stations, which is nothing but a racist smear campaign against me based on my minority Romani ethnicity.

There have been threats to kill my mother, posts put up about my minor daughter being raped, both of my websites have been stolen, I’ve received hundreds of harassing texts from 30 different phone numbers, harassment from over 75 X.com accounts.

The man has frivolously sued me over and over again as judges have happily gone along with it, in the interest of protecting the corrupt status quo of Columbus, Ohio. Rulings were issued against me in cases where I wasn’t served or present. 

Earlier this year, he filed a fake lawsuit, falsified service, falsified evidence, committed felony perjury, to scam the court into awarding him a $164,000 default judgement against my defunct LLC. He’s engaged in consumer fraud, obstruction of justice, filing false police reports, and identity theft. 

All of that is only the beginning. If busted, this guy is facing decades in prison. 

This gets more extreme because prosecutors, police, judges have all fallen for this man’s scams and no one will investigate.

Where is the media? 

Over the last 14 years, I’ve begged Columbus media to look at the evidence and tell the story. Because this man is a 25 year veteran of the local film and media community, they’re all allowing him to get away with murder, even going as far as to provide what appears to be blanket immunity for any crime.

Up until tonight I had suspected that NBC4i was involved in all of this but I had no proof until a radio host slipped up and revealed Mark Feuerborn’s involvement. In fact, many former NBC4i employees were already involved, including one of their former videographers, who is a business partner of the man who is stalking me.

It doesn’t stop there because Columbus Dispatch, 10TV, even Columbus Underground have played key roles in covering up this story allowing all of this to happen. 

Racketeering and extreme stalking 

The racketeering, organized crime allegations stem from the man who is behind all of this conspiring with subjects of my corruption investigations. In fact, multiple parties linked to this man have been indicted or convicted of embezzling over $45 million dollars. In another situation, he is conspiring with two EPA officials involved in covering up Safe Drinking Water Act violations at the San Ardo Oil Fields in California. The man is also publicly promoting two fraudulent homelessness .orgs, tax fraud schemes.

He’s swatted my son’s home, obsesses over my teenage daughter, has made threats against my grandchildren, and targeted my family for the last 14 years, using a 4Chan, KiwiFarms style online harassment campaign. I’ve received 400,000 harassing e-mails, he’s running over 1,500 separate social media accounts, and is arguably one of the most prolific cyber predators in US history. 

We’re actually traipsing into levels of corruption that make the Netflix series The Octopus Murders look like a children’s fairy tale. All I’ve done is ask Columbus media, police and prosecutors to investigate my allegations. Yet, no one will listen, as the situation gets worse and worse and worse. 

Please help 

This petition itself is the tip of the proverbial iceberg that if it gets enough signatures and attention, will expose one of largest and most bizarre corruption scandals in Columbus history.

All I’m asking the public to do is sign this petition and call my bluff. If I lie to police and FBI, or I’m making this all up, my career ends and I go to prison for perjury. I’d say that this petition is a bold move for a guy who’s accused of the things I’m accused of, yet you’ll note that between me and this man, I’m the only one demanding an investigation.

NBC4i has received the petition. Mark Feuerborn responded by turning off his reviews on Facebook and other journalists at the station that I’ve never met or spoken to in my life are blocking me on social media.

These actions are a blatant violation of the journalist code of ethics.
