Justice for Jarvis "Scottie" Lykes

Justice for Jarvis "Scottie" Lykes
The Issue
Jarvis "Scottie" Lykes, 35 year old, black male, killed by Georgia State Trooper Michael Nolen(who has been on the force for 3 years and 23 years old white male) on the night of December 29, 2017, in Columbus, Ga, while on his way to work. The officer did not wear body camera, no dash cam video footage to show what actual happened that night. The District Attorney, who had served 3 terms in office, decided to present the case to a grand jury who heard testimony from the officer who shot and killed my son, GBI agent, and her DA investigator(all were white). There was no expert or witness testimony heard. The grand jury found no sufficient evidence to further criminal actions against the officer and the officer was NOT INDICTED. Jarvis family, which includes being a father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, has suffered severely with mental and emotional pain since the tragic LOST of Jarvis due to police violence that could have been prevented. Jarvis has 3 minor daughters and 1minor son which has severely impacted their quality of life. We demand that Jarvis case be reopened with the New District Attorney because I don't feel that Jarvis was properly and adequately represented by the former District Attorney. We demand to recieve relief, closure, and JUSTICE
