Boomer the Cannon appeared as the secondary mascot for the Columbus Blue Jackets in November 2010 for the 10th anniversary. Unfortunately the club gave him the ax shortly after. This may be literal as rumor is that they buried him in the Scioto River near the arena. 
    Since then Boomer’s legend has grown to the point where there are many followers of his greatness. These followers believe he was erroneously targeted by fans of Stinger who said terrible things about Boomer. 
     As a loyal fan, I believe that Boomer should be reborn as the newest part of the Blue Jacket franchise. It’s been long enough without Boomer’s presence at Nationwide Arena. Please sign and share this petition to bring back Boomer.
