The Issue
Hello family and friends. I know I've been away for what seems like a lifetime 30 years, and now I'm working on putting together my governors commute package. I'm asking him to make me parole eligible and allow me to progress my way out of the prison system after I'm able to complete my last mental health program. Based upon the positive progress and changes that I've made in my life by attending different mental health programs, educational workshops, spiritual study groups, also a number of vocational college classes to learn different trades so I can be self reliant and self supported upon my release. Over 30 years ago I made the biggest mistake of my life and I take full responsibility for my actions because they were my actions and my actions alone. I deeply regret what took place on that dreadful day and I'm sincerely remorseful because I caused a tremendous amount of trauma and pain to my victim, her family, my family, friends and the community as a whole. It is because of this life altering event that my eyes were opened to the simple fact that I had to change my life and the person I once was all those years ago, in order to become the conscious and productive man that I am today. I pray that my victim and the community will forgive and accept me back into society once I'm done with my rehabilitation process. Life in prison hasn't always been easy for me, in fact, it has been quite ruff to say the least. I've had my ups and downs over the years however, I was able to stay focused upon making changes because I always felt that my life and future are worth the effort. Besides I already learned that life can change forever in an instant, good or bad. The following is a list of my progress and accomplishments that I have achieved over the years. Instead I am a 48 year old man who has learned from his mistakes, and takes responsibility for his actions. I have sought professional help to change my life and gotten an education. I am asking for forgiveness and a second chance at life. I am asking for your support in obtaining a Governor's commute by way of your signature ( go to the button and sign "Commute Petition') or comments and letters on my behalf and you can e-mail me at airrik russell1971@gmail.com for the Governor to consider during his deliberations. Family and friends I want to thank you in advance for your support.
