Petitioning Colorado Division of Insurance Colorado Division of Insurance

The Colorado Division of Insurance needs to raise the minimum amount of ABA therapy insurance companies must provided to children with Autism.

HIMAT (Colorado's Autism Insurance Mandate) dictates that insurance companies in Colorado must provided at least $34,000 of treatment per year for Autistic children.  The Affordable Care Act has prompted the Colorado Division of Insurance to do away with dollar caps and instead put visit caps in place.  The new cap wasn't determined by voters or elected officials, but rather a consulting agency.  The limit they came up with will greatly lessen the amount of therapy Autistic children will receive per year.  Please help us tell the Colorado Division of Insurance that taking therapy away from Autistic children isn't an option.  Sign to ask the Colorado Division of Insurance to raise the minimum amount of therapy.
