Collier Mosquito Control District (CMCD) sprays Organophosphates from planes and helicopters to fight mosquitos. The chemicals sprayed are known to be carcinogenic and harmful to human and animal life. Our group, Citizens Against Aerial Spraying, feels that this method of indiscriminate spraying is putting health and life of Collier County residents at risk, and we are asking the CMCD and Collier County Commissioners to stop aerial spraying for mosquitos and choose environmentally safe alternatives.
