Several students that registered (by following all the prescribed steps) with Total Registration and College Board are now unable take the AP exam due to registration issues discovered just before the exam dates. The problem may have originated when Total Registration enabled the option of dropping AP exams in March due to COVID-19 situation. Regardless of the underlying reasons, the net result is that several students who registered and were expecting to take the exam are now unable to do so. This situation has caused significant stress and disappointment to these students because of the effort that went into a year's worth of preparation and the negative impact on future class schedules. 

College Board representatives have not been able to fix the student registration issue despite attempts by the school AP coordinators, teachers, and parents efforts. College Board has also not been able to explain the reason for this registration issue and has indicated that they are unable to fix the problem. 

The only option offered by College Board is to take the AP exam  next year. This is extremely unfair to students who spent an entire year preparing for the AP exam, while adapting to COVID restrictions. 

Please provide these students the option to take their AP exam during the makeup AP exam period in early June 2020. As far as we can tell, there is no downside or additional work for College Board to accommodate the students with the registration issues, as the make up tests are being administered anyway. This will address the problem and will be truly beneficial to the students that are currently in limbo due to this situation.
