Howdy everyone,
In case you have not heard, the ROO passed last night with a vote of 5-2.  Mayor Mooney and Councilmember Cunha voted against the measure.  You are strongly encourage to email them both and thank them for their service to the community.  Mooney - kmooney@cstx.gov & Cunha - ecunha@cstx.gov

We had 18 speakers eloquently state their cases for why the ROO is wrong for the community.  There were 16 speakers on the other side of the argument.  I am extremely proud of those who spoke and appreciative of everything you all did to engage with this process.  We ended up with 4032 signatures on the petition.  I am going to close it today.

While the results are not what we wanted, we are dedicated to taking this energy forward to work with community groups and students to make real change over the next two Novembers.  We hope you will stay engaged!
