Most people don't realize that in this day and age painful medical procedures including de-horning (cutting horns out of the scull or burning them off) and castrations (surgical removal of testicles) are routinely preformed WITHOUT the use of any pain control. Let the College of Veterinarians of Ontario know that we won't stand for that type of barbaric treatment of animals, and that they must implement guidelines to prevent unnecessary suffering.  Every animal, including those destined to become food, deserves pain management during all surgical procedures!
