The SPCA is the only organization that can has the legal mandate to take punitive action and therefore effective implementation of the Prevention of Cruelty Against Animals Act. But unfortunately the SPCA is a defunct organization and has not had a single meeting in the last decade or more. In the last two years we have sent several letters to the Collector and have had one face to face meeting also, but to no avail. This petition is to revive the SPCA in Coimbatore
