Stop selling all animal fur.
By carrying fur in its stores, Nordstrom is putting money into the fur industry, which is pure cruelty for animals—and profiting off of it. It is time for Nordstrom to show that it is truly a store based on family values, which includes compassion for others. Nordstrom needs to stop selling all animal fur and be a leader for compassionate fashion.

I am writing to ask Nordstrom to stop selling all fur. I am disappointed that your stores continue to sell the fur of animals who have been brutally tortured and killed, and I cannot shop at any of your stores as long as Nordstrom blatantly supports animal cruelty.
As you are surely aware, many millions of animals worldwide suffer at the hands of the fur industry. Animals in fur farms are exposed to the cold with little or no shelter, and often go crazy from living in isolated and barren cages. They are killed by the cheapest methods that avoid spilling their blood on their fur; these include suffocation, anal or vaginal electrocution, and having their necks snapped. Some animals are even skinned alive.
Animals trapped in the wild may have their legs caught when they step into a steel jawed trap, be snared by metal wire snare traps, or caught in full body conibear traps. If the trap is baited with food, the animal will often get his or her head caught in the steel jaws of the trap. Many animals chew off their own limbs to escape from leg hold traps. If an animal is still alive when the trapper returns, the trapper will snap the animal’s neck or crush the animal’s lungs.
By carrying fur in your stores, Nordstrom is putting money into this industry that is pure cruelty for animals—and profiting off of it. It is time for Nordstrom to show that it is truly a store based on family values, which includes compassion for others. Please, stop selling all animal fur and be a leader for compassionate fashion.
