Francois St. Laurent is an NHL Official that has obvious bias towards the games he oversees and his lack of good judgement is tarnishing the game of hockey.

During recent years, he has proven time and time again that he does not have the ability to officiate at the NHL level and his clear disregard for player safety and poor judgement has gotten out of hand. 

Feb - 2016 - After a no-call on a questionable hit that resulted in a fractured vertebrae, Winnipeg Jets coach Paul Maurice was laughed at and ejected by Francois St. Laurent when attempting to voice his concerns and protect his player. Not only was the player seriously injured on the play (which caused him to miss the rest of the season), he then mocked the team and showed complete and utter unprofessional-ism. 

April - 2014 - During Game 3 of the Montreal/Tampa Bay Playoff series, he called off an apparent goal for goalie interference. After review, he allowed the play to continue after the alleged interference took place, to only wave the goal off after it was scored. If there was contact, the play should have been whistled down prior to the goal being scored. 

November - 2013 - His involvement with the Ray Emry fight endangered the safety of Braden Holtby. There were numerous chances for the right thing to be done, however his lack of better judgement prevailed. 

Millions of people play and love the game of hockey across the world. The NHL fans deserve to enjoy a fairly officiated game, where the teams on the ice decide the outcome, and the players in the NHL deserve to feel safe on the ice. Colin Campbell, Francois St. Laurent is not an NHL caliber official, therefore should be removed from his position.
