Governor Cuomo announced that beginning April 2, collegiate sports can allow fans to attend their sporting events, while adhering to strict state guidelines. These guidelines include social distancing, masking, remaining at 20% capacity, and providing proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-test.

As of now, Colgate has not announced plans to allow fans to attend games, but we believe they should allow spectators to attend. As a community, we have diligently followed the rules set for each gate of re-opening, and have made it to Gate 4. Our shift to Gate 4 coupled with Governor Cuomo's new regulations should allow for fans who have tested negative or been vaccinated to safely attend Colgate Athletics events.
