Earlier this week, the 16-year-old blind dog of the mayor of Manchester's son was shot in the head by a Coffee County Animal Control officer for euthanasia purposes.

This policy MUST be changed. Toby, the dog, had gotten out of his house and was lying on the side of the road when the officer found him. To make matters worse, the dog's body was placed in a dumpster.

More measures need to be taken to identify an owner of a supposed stray dog before resorting to euthanasia, and furthermore, the practice of shooting animals MUST be abolished. Together, we can help save the lives of innocent animals. Please join me in urging Coffee County officials to change this policy!
