🐾 Justice for Coco - Reform the UK’s Failing Veterinary Complaints System

Coco is our dog. Our best friend. Our gentle, plushie-loving, biscuit stealing family member.

And we almost lost him - not because his condition was untreatable, but because he was wrongly diagnosed and given the wrong treatment for over two weeks. The result? We were forced to consider two unthinkable options: expensive surgery… or euthanasia.

He didn’t need either.

Coco had IVDD — a spinal condition — but was wrongly treated for pancreatitis. While we trusted the vet and followed every instruction, his real condition worsened until he could barely walk. He suffered. We suffered watching it.

And it was all avoidable.

Only when the mistake became undeniable was the truth finally acknowledged. And with the right treatment - strict rest and proper medication - Coco began to recover. No surgery. No euthanasia. Just the right diagnosis, far too late.

If we hadn’t had the funds to keep going…
If we’d believed euthanasia was our only option…
Coco would be gone.
And we never would have known it was preventable.
