The Cochise County Animal Shelter in Huachuca City, Az. has been closed since December 2018 due to a small electrical fire. Since then over 400 lost County dogs & cats annually who resided at Huachuca City shelter are now transported to Douglas and Willcox shelters. 

Douglas/Willcox shelters are +1 hour away in each direction - too far to deliver/ retrieve a lost pet, adopt a pet, or volunteer. And these shelters are over-crowded. Over-crowding = dogs/cats being euthanized!

Funding for a new animal shelter is in the Cochise County fiscal budget. Without raising taxes!

Tell the Cochise County Board of Supervisors you want a county-owned, centralized animal shelter like Huachuca City, ASAP.
