Save yourself by saving earth

The Issue

The problem we want to solve is plastic pollution. 60 to 95% of marine pollution comes from plastic products. At this rate, by 2050, there will be more plastic in our oceans than fish. New data shows that since 1907 when plastic was invented, 37 animal species have went extinct because of plastic pollution. With the cause of micro plastics, over 267 species are endangered, and 700 species are at risk of becoming extinct. We need to make a change in order to prevent that. If we persuade the CEO's of Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, and Nestle, to change the materials they use for their products to biodegradable materials, we can reduce the amount of plastic that is polluting the Earth. Those three plastic producing companies are some the biggest plastic producers in the world and accounted for 14% of the branded plastic pollution found worldwide. If we reduce 14% of worldwide plastic pollution, then we will have a bigger chance of stopping Climate Change. The less pollution, the healthier the Earth! Decreasing pollution doesn't only help save endangered species and the Earth itself, it also has a positive impact on communities across the world.d It can help your community, too! Fresher air, cleaner water, and make it a healthier community!
