In 1885 John Pemberton perfected the marvelous drink over 30% of the world's population consumes daily.  The original [main] ingredients to Pemberton's "French Wine Cola - Ideal Nerve and Tonic Stimulant" included 5 ounces of this splendid coca leaf in each gallon of Coca-Cola's syrup(about 35 g/L), and a hefty dosage of caffeine from the well known Kola bean.  In 1888 Pemberton sold his recipe to a fellow druggist by the name of Asa Griggs Candler, who later changed the recipe to a mere 10% of Pemberton's original cocaine dosage(1/2 ounce per gallon of syrup or about 3.5 g/L) in 1891, only 3 years after he obtained ownership of the Coca-Cola recipe.  By 1929 scientists proved that Coca-Cola contained absolutely no traces of coca leaf, but still the addictive caffeine from the Kola bean.  It is an abomination how much Candler and his team have revised the recipe of the much beloved Coca-Cola, and it is certainly true that if Pemberton were alive to witness these revisions he would be outraged and ashamed of his predecessor's recipe.  Now I ask all of you to help me in restoring the original recipe John Pemberton wished for all of the world to enjoy.  Win or lose, your pledge makes a difference, but we will not lose for we can overcome the corporate boundaries Coca-Cola has set, limiting us from achieving greatness in flavor and recipe of our beloved every day soft drinks.
