Pressure coca-cola to stop producing plastic!

The Issue

As of 2019, coca-cola is branded the worlds biggest polluter of plastic. It has a whopping rate of 200,000 bottles made per minute according to the BBC.

The company recently stated they will be continuing their sales with plastic as “business won’t be business if we don’t accommodate consumers.”

I want to try and change that view. Plastic has been an arising problem since the moment we made it. Coke has pledged to ensure 50% of its plastic is recyclable by 2030, but that isn’t good enough! If the UN is telling us we have 10 years to fix this, we HAVE to start now.

What happens after 10 years? What happens if we don’t achieve the global target to reduce emissions and plastic waste on time? Let’s make this NOT an option.

The goal is to pressure them. As they said, WE are the consumers, so WE control what they sell and produce. If we STOP the sale of coke, even for a day, it could make the message clear that we are THROUGH with plastic.

Coke was introduced 8th May, 1886. Lets make the 8th May 2020 “INTERNATIONAL NO COKE DAY”.
Spread the word, translate, express and stand against this plastic pollution.

It may not be our fault, but it is our problem to fix.
We can change the world. It isn’t too late.

Thank you very much!
