PLASTIC: It goes on outliving everything. It's something invasive, it can fly, it can swim, it competes for resources, it kills wildlife. Plastic is the worst of pests.

 There's bags, bottles, all sorts of things made up out of it. It's extremely useful, it can be recycled into new things, but when it's not it causes harm.

It's a chore to clean it all up. It's durability means disaster for our world, since it's made out of hard to biodegrade ingredients. If it lands in the environment it doesn't completely break down, and leaves bits of plastic behind, some so small that they're called micro plastics. The plastic gets stuck on land and in the sea. It gets into birds, turtles, fish, and even humans.

Plastic winds up in the environment and basically never comes out, animals mistaken it for food, or get trapped in it. It's going to get worse the more we keep using plastic. It needs to be phased out, discontinued, and banned for there to be an impact.

We need big corporations to step up, to fight against the plastic pandemic.

With your sign of this petition, you demand that the Coca-Cola Company, Pepsi Co, Nestle, McDonald's, Walmart, and Target, six of the biggest corporations, clean up the environment and rid it of plastic they created, and that you deserve to be compensated for recycling their packaging.

You also demand that above companies phase out plastic packaging for a environmentally friendly alternative, one that is fully biodegradable, plant-based, and sustainable. Please sign, for the sake of the planet, and for the future of humanity.
