Coastal Carolina has enforced a mask mandate for the upcoming school year 10 hours before the start of classes. Previously, the university stated that masks will not be required in campus facilities with the exception of Health Services and Campus Transportation. This mask requirement was purposefully enforced after students had moved in and after campus events have already been held. Masks should not be enforced within public universities
