On Friday, January 21st, Principal Michael Howard illegally forced Coach Ryan Nash to resign from the head coaching position of Lake Howell Girls Soccer with an under the table threats to him and other people if he did not resign immediately. 

Since then, Mr. Howard has told parents in meetings that he had no part in this and that it was "Coach Nash's decision to resign." Mr. Howard has also explained to parents that Ryan Nash did nothing illegal, dangerous, or wrong that would be grounds for termination. 

Mr. Howard has gone out of his way and abused his power to make sure that Ryan Nash is looked at as a bad person by asking police officers to accompany him to sporting events for protection that he has never asked for before. He has instructed his employees to not speak to athletes or anyone else about the manner and is trying to brush his illegal abuse of power under the rug. 

Mr. Howard took one account of a single senior athlete and decided to have a personal vendetta against Coach Ryan Nash. In reality, Coach Ryan Nash has had the support of the majority of the team, parents, other athletics staff, and the community. In just one year Coach Ryan Nash has delivered the best record and highest ranking for Lake Howell Girls Soccer in over 12 years. There was a massive buzz around campus about the program and the direction that Coach Ryan Nash was moving it. 

We do not know if Mr. Howard has a political agenda, a personal vendetta, or just does not know how high school coaching works. What we do know, is that Mr. Howard bullied Coach Ryan Nash into resigning just days before the district tournament without grounds for termination. We know that Mr. Howard has claimed no wrong doing. 

In just one year, Coach Ryan Nash has brought back the energy and excitement that Lake Howell Girls Soccer Deserves. From the girls screaming "WORK" as they take the field to their record breaking fundraising. Our girls wanted to go to war for their coach because they believed in him and his leadership. Coach Nash is a special coach that was here to make a difference in our players' lives. 

What do we want? We want our coach back and we want Mr. Howard held accountable for his actions. He has lied and been deceiving, and our community will not stand for it.
