A 15-year-old boy's cat is dead because his neighbor grabbed him and threw him to her dogs.

Toby had been an outdoor cat in an El Paso County, Colorado neighborhood for years. His family had no reason to think he was in danger. But after four years of bitter disputes with neighbor Ashley Losey, surveillance cameras captured what happened next. Losey is seen on video grabbing Toby and tossing him into her backyard where her dogs were waiting. The cat tried to run. He was chased down and killed.

This was not an accident. It was not negligence. It was a deliberate act of cruelty carried out against a child's pet as an act of revenge in a neighbor dispute.

Losey has been arrested and charged with aggravated cruelty to animals — a class 4 felony in Colorado. The evidence is on video. The family is devastated. Lindsey Hodges-Hough, Toby's owner, said simply: "It's cruel."
